College Students and Young Adults
College is a time of new experiences and branching out on one’s own. It is also a time of adjusting to rigorous academic demands and building new social networks. At times the demands of college can bring out an increase in anxious feelings, worry, sadness or feeling like one does not fit in. Likewise challenges to learning such as test anxiety, distraction, or learning disabilities can feel harder to manage then in the past.
I provide support to college students with specific attention given to strengthening coping strategies all within the context of the developing individual. My years of experience teaching and working with college students gives me a unique perspective to the college experience. I work with Young adults and families and am clear about mainlining privacy of my clients so we have the freedom to work on what concerns you the most. Additionally, I have found A.R.T particularly helpful with test anxiety, worries about the future and relationships as well as a way to envision future performance in a positive way.
