Everyday Skills for Achieving and Maintaining a Healthy Weight

Over the past 20 years the diet and fitness industry has exploded along with our waist lines. Diet fads seem to come and go as quickly as we gain the weight we once lost. This vicious cycle can leave us in a "half-pint" of guilt and disappointment, surrounded by dusty home exercise equipment or unused gym memberships.

Many approaches fail to consider who we are, how we feel, and how we live. If you are tired of the struggle and want make lasting changes, this workshop is for you. You will gain the tools to plot your own wellness course. You will learn information to help you make sense of food, eating, and the impact of our culture on maintaining a healthy weight and making lasting changes.

 

You Can't Help Where You Are, But Here Is What You Can Do About It.

Where we are at can be a confusing and uncomfortable place. However, this workshop is not about getting to the root of your problems. It is about increasing your awareness of biology, emotions, and the cultural forces that impact weight gain as well as strengthening your resources to live a more balanced life.


This workshop is divided in two sections:


•• Where we are: The culture of eating and realities of behavior, biology, and food
•• What you can do: The culture of change and realistic steps towards everyday living.

These two hours will redefine the way we look at dieting and weight management and will build everyday tools that lead to lasting and meaningful change.
